Oberprechtal is located in the middle of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. Around our villages there are many possibilities for fun, adventure and experience. Apart from over 100 km of hiking trails and mountain bike routes, the Black Forest as a whole offers the most beautiful motorcycle routes you can imagine and Oberprechtal is an ideal starting point for excursions.
Furthermore, the Elztal and its side valleys offer a myriad of museums, exhibitions, interesting towns and villages, zoos, amusement parks, outdoor swimming pools, fishing lakes, summer toboggan runs, open-air museums and, with EUROPA-PARK in Rust, Germany's largest amusement park not even an hour's drive away.
With Freiburg and Strasbourg, two extremely worth seeing cities with beautiful medieval streets and squares, shopping opportunities, excellent gastronomy and extremely interesting buildings such as the Freiburg or Strasbourg cathedrals are also close by.
